Julie Chase

Julie Chase brings more than a decade of specialized knowledge to Walden Security as the Executive Vice President of Human Resources. Throughout her tenure at Walden Security, Julie has served in positions for both the Federal Services Division (FSD) and the Commercial Services Division (CSD) bringing a wealth of experience to the senior executive level. She has significant experience within the Benefits, Medical and Human Resources Departments. In her role as EVP, she oversees the Human Resources activities of the corporation for both FSD and CSD.

In her most recent role with Federal Services Division as the Director of Human Resources, Julie developed one-on-one communication with management and peers, implemented processes and procedures with learning and development, and enacted new labor relations programs to assist our staff. Her interactions were never limited solely to HR; she played an important role in the leadership of FSD in all areas, dealing with over 3,000 field-level personnel as well as the entire FSD staff.

Julie holds her PHR and is a certified ADA Coordinator. She is also a member of the Society for HR Management (SHRM), the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS) and the Chapter of Chattanooga Women Leaders.

Prior to joining Walden Security, he spent over 20 years in IT at Unum in Chattanooga, Tennessee. In his most recent position as Director of IT within the Digital End User Computing organization, Christopher led a global team comprising 2 managers and 26 employees. Jan Harvey

Jan serves as the Director of Talent Acquisition for both CSD and FSD, working to support recruiters, streamline their processes and procedures and improve the overall retention rate at Walden Security. She works within WinTeam, Kwantek and other platforms the company utilizes to assist recruiting efforts across 14 commercial branches and the corporate branch. The purview of her work includes 29 states and two U.S. territories.

Jan has been with Walden Security since 2015 and was hired on as an HR Administrator before working her way up to Project Manager and then earning a promotion to HR Manager. In her previous role, her skillset helped recruit and staff the USMS contracts, including seven of 12 U.S. Judicial Circuits. She traveled to dozens of job fairs and represented Walden Security while simultaneously supporting her team and the incumbent officers.

Bob is a career law enforcement professional with experience in national and international operations, training and administration. Bob came to the USMS CSO program after two decades as a police officer and police sergeant, followed by a stint as an adjunct professor and division manager with the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission. Dana Smith serves Walden Security’s Federal Services Division as the Director of Human Resources. In her role, she supports more than 3,000 security officers and supervisors. The purview of her work includes 28 states and two U.S. territories, including seven of the 12 U.S. Judicial Circuits. As the Director of HR, Dana focuses on improving employee relations as well as processes and procedures – both internally and out in the field.

Dana began her career with Walden Security in 2012 as an HR Administrator until she was promoted to HR Manager. In that role, she played an integral part in transitioning the seven USMS Circuits, the Alabama National Guard and the Social Security Administration contracts. Throughout these transitions, Dana focused on organizing travel and onboarding. She also represented Walden Security at the dozens of job fairs hosted throughout this transitional phase all over the country.

Her devotion to supporting security officers and supervisors across the country and her team does not go unnoticed. Dana earned the Above and Beyond award in 2012 and 2015. In 2014, she earned the Spirit of Excellence award.

Chad Sullivan

Senior Operations Manager, Technology Services Division

As Senior Operations Manager, Chad oversees the Technology Services Division (TSD). The TSD consists of the MSU department and the Central Technology Center (CTC). When MSUs are installed at sites, our CTC monitors the camera feeds and event-based alarms 24/7. The CTC responds to more than 25,000 alarms per week, with operators taking an average of four and a half minutes to respond to each alarm. In his role as Senior Ops Manager, Chad ensures the successful implementation of new MSUs, including training and equipment, and coordinates all functions, communication and procedures for MSUs and the CTC.

Since 2021, Chad has worked as an Account Manager for Walden Security. Before that, he worked as a Police Officer at Chattanooga State Community College and as a Contractor at Lipsey Logistics. He is a retired Sergeant with the Chattanooga Police Department (CPD), where he served for 26 years. In his 26 years with the CPD, he was a SWAT team member, Traffic Division Commander over the Investigation Team, and a part of the DUI Task Force. He was also assigned to the Mounted Patrol Unit and spent time as a member of our Honor Guard, Incident Command Team, and Critical Incident Debriefing Team.
